Class 1 – Natural Clays: Ancient Solutions to Modern Ailments

When it comes to healthy living, good nutrition, and healthcare choices, there is no shortage of options.  Every day there seems to be new formulations, drugs, creams, drinks, treatments, and elixirs that are all engineered and marketed to solve mankind’s health problems.  Although many of these man-made products have merit and hold a necessary place in healing, there are times when a return to nature can yield results that are just as (or more) powerful.  From the earliest prehistoric ancestors to the Ancient Egyptians to indigenous peoples from around the world, natural clay was a staple for healing.  Down through the ages those knowing the art of healing with clays were well respected, but in our day the power of healing clay has been forgotten.

The use of Natural clay is once again on the rise for a wide variety of modern ailments.  In this interactive workshop you will learn the history of healing clays, the science behind why clay works, and how to use healing clays for yourself, your family, your clients, and your friends.  The beauty of clay is that it is all-natural, safe, non-invasive, easy to use, very effective and low cost, without the dangerous side affects attached to many other treatment options.

4 Specific Learning Objectives:

  1. The history of clay therapy in ancient times and its use in modern times.
  2. The science behind why clay works, for both external and internal applications.
  3. How to use healing clays for yourself, your family, your clients, and friends.
  4. How to find natural clays that are right for you.  What questions to ask.  What to watch out for when purchasing healing clays.

Class 2 – Natural Salts and the mistake of the “Low Salt Diet”

Salt is one of the most misunderstood minerals on Earth. For thousands of years salt sustained life, provided a source of trade, and was even used as currency.  Yet over the last century it has become known to many as a dangerous chemical that should be avoided at all costs.  Current (and age old) research is once again returning salt to its place of necessity for human health.  Without salt, everything dies.  Our bodies are literally oceans of salt and natural trace minerals.  One medical Doctor’s new book is actually entitled, “Salt Your Way to Health” and another calls it the “Sodium Lie.”  In attending this workshop you’ll learn about salts from around the world, discover the misconceptions around “sea salt”, and see how “a low salt diet” could be one of the biggest mistakes of your life.  Not all salts are created equal, and your health depends on which one you choose for you and your family.

4 Specific Learning Objectives:

  1. Natural Salt is Necessary for Life – A low salt diet results in multiple problems and imbalances in the body.
  2. All salt/sodium is not the same.  Most “sea salts” are just as bad (or worse) than “table salt”.  Learn how different salts are produced.
  3. Natural salt balances the body and is a critical element to numerous body functions.  This is why you get an IV of salt (saline) in the hospital.
  4. How to find a natural salt that is right for you.  What questions to ask.  What to watch out for when purchasing salt.

Class 3 – Empowering Yourself with Essential Oils

Essential oils have been in use in both religion and medicine for thousands of years.  They contain the nutritive values and healing properties of plants in a very concentrated form.  They often heal the body, mind, and spirit, while regenerating damaged tissue and bringing oxygen to deprived cells.  The use of essential oils also seems to improve overall immune function.

In this class, we are going to focus on oils found in the Essentials Kit and the Well Being Kit.  We will go in-depth on how, why, and when to use the oils in each of these kit.

The Essentials Kit was designed to be a mini, portable, first-aid kit.  These 9 oils are the “work horses” for some of the more common, acute symptoms which occur in our day to day lives.  With these oils you have anti-bacterial as well as anti-viral abilities, disinfecting properties, pain relief, respiratory aids as well as calming, soothing, and aligning capabilities.  This kit provides an excellent starting ground for the novice beginner.

The purpose of The Well Being Kit is to nourish the body, the mind, and the spirit.  Imbalances in any one of these areas creates an opportunity for disease.  Left unaddressed, even the smallest of these imbalances can grow and develop into a larger, systemic problem.  By providing oils which help on all levels this kit integrates the healing of the body, mind, and spirit, and allows true healing to occur on all levels simultaneously.

4 Specific Learning Objectives:

  1. Basic principles of essential oils – how they do what they do
  2. Using essential oils to restore balance within the body.
  3. Methods of use when incorporating essential oils into everyday life.
  4. What essential oil to use for specific symptoms.

Class 4 – Juicing & Wheatgrass

Eating fruits and vegetables is a great way to provide your family with vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, living enzymes, and phytonutrients.  But how do you get them to eat them?  In this class you’ll learn about the health benefits of juicing and how to incorporate it into your daily life.  You’ll leave armed with the resources and know-how to help build your family’s health in a way that everyone will enjoy because it tastes good!

4 Specific Learning Objectives:

  1. The health benefits of juicing – why would I want to juice
  2. Different types of juicers and how to pick the best one for your family.
  3. Why would I want to juice wheatgrass, where do I get it, and how do I grow it?
  4. What else can I juice and will my family drink it?

Class 5 –  Sprouting & Soaking

Sprouting grains, nuts, and seeds increases vitamin content, neutralizes phytic acid and neutralizes enzyme inhibitors.  Soaking grains allows enzymes and helpful organisms to break down and neutralize phytic acid and also pre-digests glulten and other difficult-to-digest proteins, breaking them down into simpler components that are more readily available for absorption.  Soaked and sprouted grains should be a regular feature of our diet, and they can be used in numerous ways.  In this class we’ll go over the whys and hows and let you taste as well.

4 Specific Learning Objectives:

  1. Health benefits of sprouting & soaking – why would I want to sprout or soak.
  2. What should I sprout and what should I soak?
  3. How do I do it and how do I find the time?
  4. How do I get my family to eat it?

There really is something here for everyone!  And every class is designed to help your family get and stay healthy.  So I hope you’ll join us Saturday, November 5 for a Day of Healing.
