Guest Instructor Confirmation

More good news!  Merry Harrison, the owner of Millcreek Herbs has just confirmed as a guest presenter for Class 8 of the Foot Zone Certification Course.

Merry is a trained clinical herbalist and a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild.  She received her training in 1998 through an intensive course of study with Michael Moore of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine and has an herbal practice in Salt Lake City.  Her broad view of herbalism led her to complete the Master Gardener Program, and to also study ethnobotany at the Baca Institute of Ethnobotany and the science of essential oils at Purdue University.

Merry will join us in class 8 for an Introduction to Medicinal Herbs and Botanical Therapies.  This class is full of information that will give you the understanding and confidence you need to begin using herbs safely and appropriately in diet and health care.  Herbal preparations will be explained through hands-on demonstrations and herb resources will be shared.  Mix pleasing preparations, read labels effectively, plus botany, history and lore, harvest and preservation, essential oils, sacred plant medicine, and more will be discussed.

The Fall 2012 Foot Zone Certification class is filling up quickly, but there are still a couple of openings left.  If you’re interested in taking this course, please give me a call, 801-292-7574.
