February is coming to a close soon and there are so many exciting things going on this month and next month that I felt like I needed to post another newsletter. 🙂 A few items have deadlines that are fast approaching, and I wanted to remind you of them so you wouldn’t be disappointed if you happened to forget and miss out on something wonderful! 🙂
Earlier I let you know about Bell Organics CSA. I’m so grateful they have agreed to deliver to Centerville! We need to have a minimum of 20 people signed up so if you’re interested in FRESH, ORGANIC, LOCALLY GROWN produce, go to their website and sign up today! BUT, it gets one better because Borski Farms has also agreed to deliver to Centerville! You’ll find information about Borski Farms in the newsletter and on my website under “Health & Wellness – CSA Listing”. Basically, Borski Farms has the smallest share available so their program is perfect for the smaller family of 1-2 people whereas Bell Organics has a larger share good for families of 2-4. With Borski Farms you’ll get about 4 items each week and with Bell Organics you’ll get about 7 items each week. (Larger families can always order two shares.) As with all CSA’s, members pay at the beginning of the season and receive their food shares throughout the growing season. Cost wise, Borski comes out to $13.33 / week and Bell is $25 / week. Borski Farms requires a minimum of 10 people signed up to deliver to Centerville. The CSAs I’ve worked with in the past have been really wonderful about working with me when I went on vacation in the summer, so don’t let that be a deterrent if you’re thinking about signing up. 🙂
I have found a Food Storage / Emergency Preparedness Group Buy opportunity with purchases almost monthly. The order deadline for February’s emergency water purifiers (and Perfect Pie Dough) is this Saturday, February 26, so if you’re interested you’ll find more information on these items, and the order schedule for this year, in my newsletter and on my website.
