If you’ve never had a foot zone, you may wonder what to expect when you schedule an appointment.
When you come for the first time, I’ll start by gathering some information. For example, do you have any health problems or implants? It’s important for me to know if you have a pace maker or an IUD or pins in your arm. I’ve heard of situations in which the body eliminated the IUD after a foot zone and I wouldn’t want that to happen. 🙂 Are you taking any medication? I’ll want to know this information because one of the benefits of the zone is that it helps put your body “back into balance”. So, if you’re taking medication, I’ll advise you to monitor the medication closely for the next few days and contact your doctor if problems arise. However, it’s not so much the medicine that I’m concerned about as the purpose for the medicine. The medicine you take is between you and your doctor, but knowing the problem that resulted in the medicine can help me to know what nutritional information I might want to share with you. Of course, I don’t diagnose or prescribe, but I can tell you what I would do if I had the same situation.
After that, I’ll get you set up with a foot bath. Just a basin of water with some Redmond Clay added to soak your feet while I check to see what essential oils you need for your zone. The Redmond Clay helps pull toxins from your body and the hot water helps to relax you.
Next I’ll muscle test for you to see what oils you need for the zone. If you’re unfamiliar with muscle testing, I’ll explain it to you so you understand what’s happening.
Before we start the zone, I’ll muscle test to see if you need any energy work. If you do, we’ll take care of that while you’re soaking in the foot bath. I’ll hand you a note card and pencil so you can take whatever notes you want as the Spirit prompts you. You can also use the note card to write down any homework that you might have from our session or the oils that we used.
After the energy work is completed, I’ll start the foot zone with your right foot using the essential oils that you tested for earlier. When I’m finished with the right foot, I’ll move to your left foot. Along the way, I’ll balance and ground you energetially and work on your chakras. When we’re done, I’ll do a final balance before finishing.
Thats it! Most people leave feeling either really tired or really energized.
If you’re interested in learning more, the Introduction to the Foot Zone Technique class is being held Saturday, July 30th from Noon to 2:00. I’ll talk about the history of foot zoning, the benefits and what to expect after a zone, muscle testing and muscle testing by proxy, balancing and grounding ourselves, essential oils, and different techniques you can do yourself for stress and tension headaches, migraines, sinus headaches and problems, PMS, and overall energy elevation. If you’re interested in attending, please call me at 801-292-7574 to register.
Of course, you could always call and schedule a foot zone to find out for yourself what it’s all about. 🙂
